Anti Ragging Cell

Ensures a ragging-free campus and addresses any incidents of ragging promptly and strictly. The cell is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all new students.

The college reconstituted the Anti-Ragging Committee on 17.03.2023. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college under the guidance of the Anti-Ragging Committee members. If any student reports an incident of ragging, the committee will take legal action against those found guilty.

  • Ragging is an act of aggression.
  • Ragging is not harmless fun.
  • Ragging does not increase smartness.

Functions of the Cell

  1. To assist college students and staff in promoting discipline on the college campus.
  2. To monitor the anti-ragging movement and maintain a ragging-free environment on the college campus.
  3. To conduct Freshers' Day and encourage healthy, peaceful interaction between fresher students and senior students.
  4. To issue notices informing all students about the action to be taken in cases of ragging.
  5. To display the mobile numbers of Anti-Ragging Committee members in classrooms.
  6. To direct members and staff to follow the provisions of the anti-ragging law.
  7. To direct Anti-Ragging Committee members to prevent ragging on buses, in the cafeteria and in other campus areas.
  8. To develop an Anti-Ragging Squad and conduct surprise inspections. With these steps in place, the college maintains a ragging-free environment.
  9. To create a peaceful and ragging-free atmosphere on the college campus and in its surroundings.
  10. To appoint students and staff members to the Anti-Ragging and Disciplinary Committee for the current academic year. They observe student movement and prevent teasing or ragging before classes, during lunch and after classes.
