The Department of Pharmacognosy at Krishna Institute of Pharmacy combines traditional knowledge of medicinal plants with modern scientific methods. Students learn macroscopic and microscopic identification, phytochemical screening, extraction, isolation and standardization of crude drugs and herbal formulations.
