Gender Sensitization Cell

Promotes gender equality and awareness, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all. The cell organizes programs and workshops to sensitize students and staff about gender-related issues.

The college established the Gender Sensitization Cell Committee on 15.04.2023 to protect the basic requirements for the normal development of every individual while remaining sensitive to the needs of each gender.

This can be achieved by conducting sensitization campaigns, training centres, workshops and programmes. Sensitization in the domain of Humanities and Social Sciences aims to bring about positive changes in behaviour.

The Constitution of India provides equality of status and opportunity to all citizens of the country.

Constitutional Provisions Related to Gender Equality

  • Article 14: Equality before law and equal protection of laws.
  • Article 15: Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of race, sex, etc.
  • Article 16: Equality of opportunity in matters of public employment.

Directive Principles Related to Gender Equality

  1. Article 39(a): Citizens, men and women equally, have the right to an adequate means of livelihood.
  2. Article 39(d): There is equal pay for equal work for both men and women.
